Vitamin B1, also known as thiamin is a water soluble B vitamin.  It aids in the production of energy in all tissues in the body but more is used in the heart and skeletal muscle.  Additionally it is necessary for the body to produce the neurotransmitter (chemical used by the nervous system and brain) acetylcholine.

Signs & Symptoms of Vitamin B1 Nutrition Deficiency Include:

Congestive Heart Failure
Tachycardia (increased heart rate)

Memory loss
Muscle wasting

Drugs, medications, or additives that may deplete or interfere with Vitamin B1 metabolism:

Diuretics used to lower blood pressure
Seizure Medications

Why Ultra B1 over other forms of vitamin B1

Unlike most types of vitamin B1, Ultra B1 was designed by Dr. Osborne to contain benfotiamine.  This form of B1 is the most bioavailable form used by the body.  Additionally, Ultra B1 contains antioxidants and other B cofactors that help aid in supporting a healthy inflammation balance.
